Design is often regarded as the cosmetic finishing touches – making things look nice. Huge amounts have been spent on determining what makes something "nice". Much has been written on which typefaces, colours and shapes to use. Yet, for most clients (and many designers) it remains a hit or miss affair, with little or no guarantee that beautiful or creative designs will translate into sales. The sad truth is that beautiful design does not guarantee business success!
Design is not about product alone. It permeates almost everything we do, inhabit, experience or consume. Design is the power to conceive, plan, and realize ideas that serve human beings in the accomplishment of a purpose. The function of design is to service people's needs!.
